ORIGINAL HOT YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
Ready to see what
you’re capable of?
☀︎ March 29 – July 3 𖡡 Barrie (or online) + Mexico ⏱︎ 200-Hour Certification
You’ve probably thought about teacher training before.
Maybe you’d genuinely like to teach one day. Maybe you love Original Hot Yoga and want to understand it beyond knowing where to put your feet. Or maybe you saw the training announcement and immediately thought, I want to do that.
Namaste North’s Original Hot Yoga Teacher Training gives you the knowledge, practice and experience to understand the series at a completely different level and, if you choose to, step into the room as a teacher.
Two weeks to go all iN
On the practice you love
There’s a difference between learning something a few hours at a time and getting the chance to completely immerse yourself in it.
For two weeks in Mexico, yoga gets to be your job. You’ll practice, study, ask questions, teach, get feedback and do it all again the next day. It’s focused, challenging and intentionally immersive, so you can build confidence through actually doing the work.
BUILT TO PREPARE YOU FOR THE FRONT OF THE ROOM.
Hi, I’m Meg, owner of Namaste North in Barrie, Ontario with over 20 years of hot yoga teaching experience.
I’ve been teaching Original Hot Yoga since 2007, and I know how different it feels when you stop simply moving through the postures and start understanding what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and how to communicate that to someone else.
That’s what I want this training to give you.
Not just the hours you need for a certification, but the knowledge, practice and real teaching experience to leave feeling genuinely prepared to step into any room and lead.
200+
HOURS.
And a LOT MORE THAN MEMORIZING 26 POSTURES.
-
Go deeper into the Original Hot Yoga series, including the postures, alignment, anatomy and the reasoning behind what you’ve been practicing on your mat.
-
Learn how to communicate clearly, lead a room, work with different bodies and abilities, and teach the Original Hot Yoga series with confidence.
-
Actually teach. Get feedback. Try again. Build the kind of confidence that doesn’t come from reading a manual or memorizing a script.

Not at all. An immersive training covers the same required learning in a more immersive format. Instead of dipping in and out of the material over several months, you spend two weeks fully focused on learning, practicing and teaching.
And this training isn’t only two weeks. You’ll complete pre-intensive training beginning March 29, the two-week Mexico intensive in May, and additional course requirements through July 3. The intensive simply gives you the opportunity to go all in while you’re there.
-
The curriculum includes:
Posture technique, alignment, benefits and modifications
Cueing and posture clinic
Teaching methodology, voice, presence and body language
Anatomy and physiology
Yoga history and philosophy
The Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sūtras
The evolution of modern yoga
Ghosh lineage and living tradition
The business of yoga
And, importantly, you’ll get plenty of opportunities to actually practice teaching.
-
The training is led by Meghan Huehn and Gabriel Tavera, who each bring more than 14 years of experience owning hot yoga studios.
Meghan has been teaching Original Hot Yoga since 2007 and has Bachelor’s Degrees in Physical Health Education and Science. The training also includes specialized instruction from Hanna Persson in Anatomy and Christian Scaraglino in Yoga History & Philosophy.
