Workshop: Somatic Yoga w/ Cat & Robina

This workshop offers a practical introduction to Somatic Yoga, a gentle, neuroscience-informed approach to movement that works directly with the nervous system. Using slow, mindful movements and pandiculation (active contraction followed by slow release), somatic yoga helps release chronic tension, improve mobility, and restore ease in the body, without passive stretching.

The session includes a brief, easy-to-digest learning portion woven with movement and breathwork. We’ll explore how the nervous system influences tension, the key benefits of somatic yoga, the difference between pandiculation and traditional stretching, and simple pranayama techniques to support relaxation and regulation.  There will be time for Q & A and students will receive a take-home handout of the somatic movements practiced, offering a tool to support their practice beyond the studio.  Room will not be heated.
